Donation Guidelines

The Mustard Seed of Central Indiana is an independent nonprofit organization. We do not receive ongoing government funding, nor are we a United Way-sponsored agency. As a result, financial gifts are the lifeblood of our mission. Your generosity directly supports our work, helping us continue to provide essential furniture to families and individuals in need. Every contribution makes a difference, and your support is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of turning houses into homes, one family at a time.

Why is there a fee to donate my items to charity?

Through our donation-based pickup service, you are covering the costs of the fuel; insurance, staffing/labor, wear and tear on our truck (thank you Indy pot holes!) and possible recycling services; storage at our warehouse, and then sourcing the items out to families and individuals in need.
