Donation Guidelines
The Mustard Seed of Central Indiana is an independent nonprofit organization. We do not receive ongoing government funding, nor are we a United Way-sponsored agency. As a result, financial gifts are the lifeblood of our mission. Your generosity directly supports our work, helping us continue to provide essential furniture to families and individuals in need.
Every contribution makes a difference, and your support is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of turning houses into homes, one family at a time.
Why is there a fee to donate my items to charity?
Through our donation-based pickup service, you are covering the costs of the fuel; insurance, staffing/labor, wear and tear on our truck (thank you Indy pot holes!) and possible recycling services; storage at our warehouse, and then sourcing the items out to families and individuals in need.

$200 because we love what you do and want to support your mission!
$50.00 additional for items that are stained or damaged but you wish to have removed. We must take all damaged or stained items to the dump or recycle which is costly for us (time, labor, fuel).
$25.00 additional suggested donation for stairs or basement removals.
