Need Assistance?
We want to help as many people as possible. To ensure that support is provided fairly and effectively, furniture assistance is available only to individuals who are active clients of one of our nonprofit referral partners.
This process helps ensure that clients are properly vetted and are also receiving other critical supportive services. Our nonprofit partners—such as case managers, social workers, clergy, and resource managers—are trained to assess individual needs and connect clients with appropriate resources.
The individuals we serve together may be navigating challenges such as disaster recovery, homelessness, domestic violence, mental or physical health conditions, poverty, addiction, or other life-changing circumstances.
We maintain a current database of 100+ nonprofit partners on our website. We encourage you to review this list and contact an agency that feels like a good fit directly through their website or phone number. Please note that we are unable to help connect you with these agencies.
Once you are accepted as a client, your caseworker—not the client—is responsible for contacting The Mustard Seed and scheduling an appointment. Your caseworker will also provide you with all appointment details, procedures, and any information you may need to bring.
Please understand:
We do not accept direct requests for furniture from individuals
All assistance must come through a referral from an agency you are already working with
Eligibility requirements and funding availability are determined by the referring agency, not The Mustard Seed
Assistance is not guaranteed, as some programs may have limited funding or participation requirements
We partner with as many trusted nonprofits as possible to give individuals the best chance of receiving support. To begin the process, you must first be actively engaged with one of our nonprofit partners.
