The Mustard Seed of Central Indiana is a social service and humanitarian aid agency that depends on community donations of essential furniture and housewares to serve those fighting poverty. By rehoming your furniture and household items, you help restore hope and stability in housing for others and you are also helping keep items out of the landfill.
To help rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster, personal tragedy or other misfortunes by providing household furnishings.
To inspire growth and sustainability in the community of Central Indiana, one person/family at a time, by turning a house into a home.

Partner Agencies / How to Refer Individuals and Families
If you are in need of services, already receiving assistance from an agency or have a community advocate, please reach out to them so they can either partner with us or (if already partnered, send a referral on your behalf.
We serve individuals and families residing in Marion, Hamilton, Madison, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, and Boone counties. We assist clients that live in any county within the middle third of the state, but our furniture delivery service is only available within those 9 named counties. We do not, however, provide our services directly to the public. You must have a community referral due to our limited resources. We are not grant funded but the agencies we partner with typica

OUR IMPACT.
In 2024, thanks to the generosity of our community, we provided 2,168 pieces of furniture to 206 individuals and families helping turn empty spaces into warm, welcoming homes. In 2025, we ramped up to delivering to 3-6 families and persons a day!
